Rockets Win Behind Harden’s 43 Point Triple-Double

The Houston Rockets finished 2018 with a win over the Memphis Grizzlies, 113-101. 

James Harden brought early fireworks on New Years Eve with video-game numbers for his fourth straight 40-point game. Harden had 43 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists for a triple-double to set an NBA record with his eighth straight game of at least 35 points and five assists. Harden has also scored 30 or more points in 10 straight games.

Clint Capela had a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds as Danuel House Jr. scored 16 points. Austin Rivers got the start in place of Eric Gordon who sat out with a bruised right knee. Rivers scored 12 points.

Gerald Green lit up the three point line knocking down six 3’s for 18 points off the bench. Houston has won 10 of their last 11 games to improve their season record to 21-15.

The Rockets will begin 2019 at Golden State Thursday night to take on the Warriors. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:30pm CT.
