Brantley Caps Comeback Win with Walk Off Homer in Extras

On a night where Wade Miley got the start on the mound and was lifted after not recording an out, the Astros came back from 7-0 to win 11-9 in 13 innings over the Mariners. Michael Brantley hit a walk-off two run blast to win it.

Miley gave up five runs on five straight hits and was replaced by Cy Sneed in the top of the 1st inning. Houston found themselves in a 7-0 hole by the start of the bottom of the 2nd inning. Sneed and Jose Urquidy limited the Mariners to three runs over the next seven innings as the offense chipped away. The Astros eventually tied the game at eight in the 8th inning.

Kyle Tucker got his first career start and made the most of it by going 2-6 with a home run and a big RBI single that tied the game at 9 in the 12th inning. Brantley and Jose Altuve each had two hits with Josh Reddick adding three hits.

Framber Valdez will take the hill for the Astros in game two of the series Friday night.
