Texans sign quarterback Kevin Hogan

The Texans signed former Tennessee Titans and Stanford quarterback Kevin Hogan.

Hogan is a former Kansas City Chiefs fifth-round draft pick who has also played for the Cleveland Browns, Washington franchise, Denver Broncos, Bengals and Titans.

He was cut by the Titans after they drafted Liberty quarterback Malik Willis.

He has passed for 621 yards, four touchdowns and seven interceptions and rushed for 176 yards and one score. He has played in eight games, starting one, all for the Browns.

At Stanford, he passed for 9,385 yards, 75 touchdowns and rushed for a school-record 15 touchdowns. His career passing efficiency mark of 154.6 ranks second behind Andrew Luck.

Hogan (6-foot-3, 218 pounds) has run the 40-yard dash in 4.78 seconds.
